Region 6 AGM

Region 6 held their Annual General Meeting in Hoyt on Monday 27 Oct.

  1. Region 6 (North) director Lloyd White’s position was up for re-election. Kevin Belliveau from Charlette County ATV Club # 39 ran against him. Lloyd was re-elected for another two year term. Congratulations Lloyd!!
  2. New Brunswick Dirt Riders Association (NBDRA), the provincial representative of two wheeled motorcycles and the Province of NB still have not come to agreements on the use of dual sport/dirt bike on managed off road trails. Quad NB is prepared to support when both sides reach agreement.
  3. Reciprocal trail agreements between provinces that allow members to ride trails in another province are a bygone era as ATV PEI, ATVNS, and Newfoundland have all indicated they will not recognize other provinces trail permits. Check their respective websites for more information.
  4. The next “Ride for Free” weekend will take place 14 – 16 Feb 2026 as part of the Family Day long weekend. More information will be forthcoming from Quad NB.
  5. The number of registered recreational off road (atv’s and sxs’s) has grown to 61,000 machines in 2025 with 31,000 machines purchasing trail permits. This highlights the growth in our sport and the tourism potential that is afforded remote/small communities.
  6. The 2025 Quad NB Jamboree held in the Moncton area during the Thanksgiving long weekend had 930 registered machines, an all-time high. The 2026 Quad NB Jamboree will take place in the Edmundston area between 31 July – 3 Aug 2026.  Over 200 machines have already pre-registered, the sport is growing.
  7. The insurance policy that Quad NB covers their employees has been extended to include volunteers helping with club approved events, such as trail cleaning using chain saws or trail building using heavy equipment to name a few examples. This is great news as Quad NB recognizes the importance volunteers play in creating a sustainable system of managed trails.

If there are questions or concerns from the regional meeting, please reach out to the club via Facebook messenger or email [email protected].
